City Clerk

The City Clerk is the official Secretary to the City of Sunrise and the City Commission, and as such serves as the following:
Bullet Custodian of the City Seal
Bullet Local Supervisor of Elections
Bullet Local Financial Disclosure Coordinator
Bullet Records Custodian and Records Management Liaison Officer with the State of Florida
   In addition, the City Clerk:
Bullet Maintains the City charter and Code of Ordinances in an up-to-date condition and provides for its
   distribution
Bullet Coordinates lobbyist registration and reporting activities
Bullet Attests to documents, legislation, checks and warrants, and certificates
Bullet Maintains and safeguards original documents for the City, such as minutes of public meetings,
   ordinances, resolutions, contracts, etc.
Bullet Coordinates annual Advisory Board appointments and maintains records of Board activities
Bullet Handles all details of elections for the City's pension and retirement boards
Bullet Coordinates and responds to lien inquiries
Bullet Responds to public records requests from the public, departments and other
agovernmental agencies, performing specific research as required

Directions:
The Office of the City Clerk is on the fourth floor of City Hall, which is at the southeast corner of West Oakland Park Boulevard and Josh Lee Boulevard (just east of Hiatus Road). This office can be located using our City Facilities map.
